From the desk of the President ………………

Dear Friends,

As I write this message, there is much change and promise of progress and development around us. There are fresh faces heading our government and we expect rapid growth in all areas, as the development sector continues to do its best for bringing about social change in our area.

AMS encourages volunteers to contribute their time, skills and energies to enhance the work being carried out at the grass root level. We are happy to record that in the seven years since our inception, we have grown from placing a handful of volunteers/interns with local NGOs, to forging new collaborations, partnerships and programs in order to strengthen our ongoing program.

This year we have organized several program especially Rath Yatra for “Beti Bacho Abhiyan”, establishment o seed/grain bank, farmer’s club, kitchen garden etc. Our program for environment awareness has left a great impact on the society and people have become more vigilant to save the natural resources. We have also arranged the program like awareness campaign for adolescent girl’s health and NADEP composting method for quick recycling of agro waste.

The other program such as Jan Sunwai, network among Sarpanch/Panch, workshop for the forest committees and for farmers, MAT workshop, workshop for eradication of child labour etc. have also proved beneficial for the upliftment of the society.

Our mission is directed towards bringing about positive social change. Through our training/ workshops we influence volunteers and groups/communities within which they work, and encourage them to contribute to the development sector. By consolidating activities and expanding our collaborations,

In the coming year we will try our best to serve the society in the new avenues at the same time we would put more efforts for the conservation of natural resources.

I would like to thank all our committed volunteers, local NGOs, supporters, trainers and the AMS team for all their hard work and dedication, which has proved a great help to serve the last man of the society. We are sure that such support will remain continue in future also.
